Lamp column charging
Wandsworth Council has been awarded funding from the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) for lamp column electric vehicle charging in the borough, including via the Go Ultra Low Cities Scheme (GULCS). Combined with Council funding, this is enabling lamp column charging to be provided for residents with electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles who have no off-road parking but would like to charge their vehicles overnight.
Up to December 2019 we received 1,000 requests from residents and have delivered 230 charging points across the borough in partnership with Siemens. This equipment ties in with Ubitricity offering an on-street option for residents.
Residents can choose between membership or Pay As You Go options.

To find out which Ubitricity points are live, or to report a fault with a charging point, you can download the Ubitricity app or phone 0800 024 6279.

If you are interested in having a charging point installed in a lamp column on your street, please complete our online form.
Please note that there are several hundred outstanding requests and it is unlikely that every request will be met, but we welcome all resident requests as this will help inform our decision-making process for future installations.
