Published: Friday, January 27, 2023

Friday 27 January 2023 is London's Great Mental Health Day with the aim of getting Londoners to talk about mental health.

All Londoners are asked to get involved by using the hashtag #GreatMentalHealth to share their own tips, advice and experience across all social media platforms.

Wandsworth Council is proud to support London's Great Mental Health Day

Councillor Graeme Henderson, Cabinet member for health said,

“Great Mental Health Day is all about celebrating the power of community and kindness, the story of how we have come together for one another across London.

“The last year has remained challenging for many of us, so please do take a moment to recognise your friends, family or loved ones who have made a difference to your mental health.”

We would love to see residents in Wandsworth share a short video answering one of the following to help destigmatise talking about mental health:

  • What do you do to improve your own mental health?
  • What makes you feel connected to others?
  • What do you do to support others in your community?

Tag us @Wandbc and use #GreatMentalHealth. For more information about the day, visit Thrive LDN website.

It is important to reach out and get help if you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, loneliness or depression. For more information about what support is available for people who live in Wandsworth
