Summer fun at Furzedown Rec this Sunday

The Love Parks Wandsworth campaign wraps up on Sunday (Aug 29) with an event at Furzedown Rec, Tooting.

Free activities will be held throughout the day including:

  • 10.30am: A volunteer-led wellbeing walk
  • 11am: Live performance of the Teddy Bear’s Picnic
  • 11.30am: HIIT class
  • 11.45am, 1.15pm and 3.45pm: Fine art workshops with the Putney School of Art and Design
  • 12noon: Dance workshop
  • 1.15pm: Zumba
  • 2pm: Live performance of The Ugly Ducking

Wandsworth Council’s cabinet member for parks and open spaces Cllr Steffi Sutters said: “Our annual Love Parks campaign is all about encouraging local people to enjoy the wide range of beautiful parks, commons and open spaces we have here in Wandsworth.

“Community days at Furzedown Rec and our other parks are always very popular and Sunday's event looks like a great chance to relax with your family and try something new.”
