The borough’s children’s centres are inviting Wandsworth families to the official launch on Thursday June 6 of the new programme of activities coming up this September, created with the input of local parents.

You will be able to enjoy family activities, get an exclusive goody bag and find out about the other services local to you and about your entitlement to free childcare.  You will also have a chance to win a voucher in the prize draw, as well as enjoying a complimentary meal.

There will be three sessions:

  • 10am-11.30. Enjoy a breakfast of pastries and fruit
  • 12.30pm-2pm. Sandwiches, fruit and crisps will be served for lunch
  • 3.30pm-6pm. Afternoon tea of cakes and fruit will be served.

Tea, coffee and juice will be available at all three sessions.

The event will be at the Wandsworth Civic Suite, Wandsworth High Street

From September 2019 there will be a borough-wide service across all 12 designated children’s centres. This is part of the council’s new THRIVE Wandsworth Strategy. The new programme of activities was drawn up following extensive consultation with local parents over the past few months.

The borough programme will bring together stay and play, early education, health visiting, speech and language therapy, child and adolescent mental health services for under-fives, groups for parents with low mood and post-natal depression and family support services.  They’ll also be activities at weekends, during school holidays and more opportunities for young children with SEND.

To book your place email EYBSO@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk or call (020) 8871 8866. Please say which session you would like to attend, how many children you will be bringing with you and their ages, and information about any allergies.
