The Winter Trails Festival continues this week with a chance to take part in an interactive moving light installation on Thursday (Dec 7).

Take part in the Cirque Bijou Umbrella Project

Cirque Bijou are coming to Nine Elms with their Umbrella Project – hand-built LED umbrellas which will create a magical parade of pattern and colour from St George’s Tower, along the Thames River Path and finishing at the ROSE Christmas Party.

Members of the public are invited to take part in the project. No performance experience is necessary but you must be available to attend a rehearsal tomorrow (Dec 6). For more information or to sign up to take part email rosie@nineelmsonthesouthbank.com.

The Battersea Power Station Community Choir

On Thursday the Battersea Power Station Community Choir will be performing at the ROSE Community Centre Christmas Party from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Find out more.

Elsewhere in the borough, the Battersea Square Christmas carols and tree switch-on event will be today (Dec 5) from 6.30pm.

Tomorrow (Dec 6)in Tooting there will be carol singing and a Christmas tree and lights switch-on event in Mitcham Road on the corner of Church Lane at 5pm. The Mitcham Lane event will be on Friday (Dec 8) at 4pm on the corner of Mitcham Lane and Thrale Road.

The Southfields lights event, including a Christmas market, live music, carol singing, mince pies and mulled wine, will be at 5pm tomorrow (Dec 6).

And the Roehampton Lantern Parade will be on Thursday (Dec 7) from 4pm to 5.30pm. Meet at Heathmere Primary School.

this is good info, as long as you dont work for a living im sure you ca enjoy the events.. really southfields roehampton and mitcham all during working hours. most people work till 5-6pm, so we miss out.
