Apply now for youth grant
Published: Tuesday 8th August 17
Applications are now being accepted for the latest round of Youth Opportunity Fund (YOF) grants.
A panel of specially-trained youngsters listen to presentations by applicants and then decide who should get the cash. After grants have been awarded they go and inspect projects to monitor how the money has been spent.
Recent successful applicants include CARAS, a group which works with refugees and asylum seekers. They used the money to set up the CARAS Youth Council which represents the views and needs of young people in the organisation and runs consultations, trips, activities, career days and volunteer recruitment.
