One week left until the first Access to Finance Wandsworth event

Published: 21 September 2016

There are just days to go until the first Access to Finance event for Wandsworth businesses.

The session, taking place on Tuesday 27th September, is part of a package of free business support from the council to help local firms flourish and grow.

Small and medium-sized businesses can go along to the event at the Battersea Arts Centre and find out more at seminars, one-to-one advice sessions and a panel discussion on crowd funding and alternative finance.

Organisations taking part include Nat West, Lloyds, Halifax and Barclays, who will be sending local business managers to discuss the services they provide to business customers. There will also be representatives from alternative funders including GLE, Seedrs, the British Business Bank, Funding Circle, Creative Unlimited and Enterprise London, plus advice on accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Tax Guys.

The event will finish with a networking reception.

It is free to attend for Wandsworth-based businesses, and there is a small fee for business owners outside the borough.

To book your place, visit or call (020) 8871 7807.

The council’s business spokesman Cllr Kim Caddy said:

“This is a great opportunity for businesses to get free expert advice on the sources of finance they need to grow.

This is part of a much wider package of support and advice the council offers to the local business community. If you’re a business owner or budding entrepreneur, then make sure you take full advantage.”
