Putney celebrates the Thames with Family Fun Day
Published: 30 August 2016
Putney is hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday as part of the Thames Festival.
The event celebrates everything that Putney has to offer, with events along the river and in Church Square.
Highlights include workshops on singing, dance, circus skills, cooking and more, plus a kids’ funfair, face painting, arts and crafts, gift stall, street food, bars, music and the regular Saturday farmers’ market.
The police will be there with goodies for the children, there will be a Punch and Judy show and Eddie Catz will have a face-painting stall. The Putney Food Assembly, which allows the public to order fresh produce directly from local producers, will be selling food, giving talks and hosting tastings.
The Radio Jackie roadshow will be there with games and competitions throughout the day, and will also be commentating on the 400 boats sailing along the Thames as part of the Thames Festival Great River Race from Docklands to Ham
Visitors can also enjoy Putney’s wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and pubs.
