Playground to close for two days to allow improved safety measures to be installed
Published: Tuesday, May 4, 2021
Families in Battersea are being reminded that a local neighbourhood playground will be closed for two days this week to allow for improved safety measures to be installed.
The safe surfacing of the playground in Montefiore Gardens is set to be replaced on Thursday and Friday of this week, which means the playground will be closed to visitors.
The surfacing is designed to give children a softer landing if they fall or stumble.
While the works are underway, families with young children can use another playground at Heathbrook Park (entrances on St Rule Street and Portslade Road).
The works schedule id weather dependent but is expected to be completed within the two days.
