Transport links for Nine Elms
The Tube now runs to Battersea for the first time in its history, with a new Northern line station at Battersea Power Station on Battersea Park Road, and Nine Elms station near Sainsbury’s on Wandsworth Road. The new line and stations opened to passengers on 20 September 2021, connecting the area to the West End and the City in less than 15 minutes.
Transport improvements
The developments in transport also includes additional bus services, upgrades to existing train stations including Battersea Park, Queenstown Road and Vauxhall, and a Thames River Bus pier at Battersea Power Station.
The railway viaducts, so long a barrier, are being brought to life with arches used to provide space for new business, community and cultural uses, as well as being opened up to allow for footpaths and cycleways.

Cycling and walking
A new pedestrian and cycle network is being created, opening up safer and more direct routes through the area and beyond.
