Pay a Fixed Penalty Notice for an idling vehicle offence

An idling vehicle is one whose engine is running when it is parked or not in use.

Leaving an engine running causes unnecessary air pollution and is an offence for which you can be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) of £20. The notice must be paid within 28 days, or it will increase to £40.
