Help with applying online and activating a paperless visitors parking permit
Stage one: Register an account
If you are already setup with an account, log into your account and skip to Step 2.
Click the 'Please register here' link
Click 'Private Individual' and then click 'Continue'
Enter your Personal Details. The fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
Type in your Main Address 'Postcode' and click 'Find address'.
Select your address from the list provided and the following screen will appear.
Click the 'Save' button.
You have now successfully registered an account. Your user name and password will have been emailed to the email address you provided.
Click the 'Continue' button to go to the online permit account homepage.
Stage two: Apply for a permit
Select 'Apply for a permit', either from the left hand menu or from the 'Quick actions' list.
Select the type of permit you would like to apply for.
Read the Guidance notes and at the bottom of the page click 'Start Application'
Please select which type of proof of residency you are going to provide
Scroll down the form and select whether you are applying for a discount for age or disability.
Select one of the items below and type in the relevant date of birth or Blue Badge Number, if no discount applies then select no age/disability discount.
Scroll down the page to next section 'submit documents selected above'. Select how you would like to provide your proof(s), if not applicable select no document required.
If you do have selected 'Upload Now', you need your documents saved on your PC.
Scroll down the page, next browse and attach your proofs.
Click of 'Browse' find your scanned document.
Click on 'Document Type' and select the type of proof you are providing.
Click on 'Upload Document'.
Repeat the process for your second proof, if applicable.
When your scroll down you may want to add a note in the Communication box below, this is not compulsory. Select 'Next' at the end of the page to continue.
Select Yes if you would like to continue.
Your application may take up to 2 working days to process and once approved you will be emailed.
Stage three: Buying Paperless Visitor Permits
Visit wandsworth.gov.uk/permits and log on to your account. You will be presented with the following screen:
Under the quick actions title please select Buy Paperless Visitor Permit.
Type in how many permits you require and select calculate.
The total amount is calculated, shown at the bottom of the screen.
Select 'Next' to progress to the payment screen.
Click on either the options above, depending on whether you have used this site previously.
Select your card type and type in your card details where prompted to do so.
Once completed you will receive a confirmation email that your payment was successful and that you are now able to activate parking right.
Stage 4: Activate paperless visitor permits
Once you have purchased Paperless Visitor Permits, select 'Activate Paperless Visitor Permits' link under Quick actions.
This is where you can activate parking rights. You are only able to activate one vehicle registration number (VRN) at the time.
Type in the vehicle registration number (VRN) you would like to activate parking for.
Re-type the vehicle registration number (VRN) you would like to activate parking for.
Select the date you would like parking to start.
Select the number of days you require parking for. The system will recognise whether you are in either a Monday to Friday or Monday to Saturday restriction and whether the days fall on a bank holiday.
Select 'Activate parking'.
Your parking action will appear at the bottom of your page.
Note: If the parking action is activated for the current date after the restrictions have begun, you are unable to cancel the session.
Activating a different vehicle registration number (VRN)
Under VRN click on the dropdown and select 'Add New VRN' (shown above).
Enter the New VRN and re-enter the new VRN with a start date.
Select 'Activate parking'.
Activating a date(s) in the future different
The activation process is the same, however, as the dates are in the future you are able to deactivate parking, should the need arise.
At the side of each parking day there are tick boxes under the title 'De-activate parking'.
Select the date(s) you which to cancel, by ticking the box and click on De-activate parking at the bottom right of the page.
The parking session is now removed.
