Tootopia, SW17s celebration of food and drink returns

Tootopia first launched as a small pub trail curated by Antic London in 2012, to highlight Tooting’s heritage pubs. Landlords across SW17 showcased the best they had to offer through food and drink specials and events.

Fast forward seven years and Tootopia has become one of South West London’s most-loved hyperlocal happenings.

The organisers are currently seeking local food and drink businesses that would like to run their own events during the festival or create a special offer for the festival under the Foodie Trail or Thirst Quest. Previous events have included talks, workshops, supper club, live music and family activities.

In 2018, Tootopia saw 57 local entrepreneurs promoting their businesses through the event, including restaurants, pubs, market traders, heritage sites, community event organisers, two charities and even a church. Alongside, South East London makers and food traders who pitched up at the annual Handmade Market and Street Food Takeover, whilst an array of bands and entertainers brought the town to life in a variety of locations across the weekend. Each year the core schedule of events is accompanied by a fringe line-up of everything from workshops to walks, quizzes to crafting sessions and much more for all ages.

All events that make up Tootopia are run by Tooting businesses with festival management and promotion proudly funded by Antic Pubs.

Businesses who are interested in running run their own event or create a special offer should email hi@tootopia.co.uk by Thursday 15 August. For more information visit Tootopia website.
