Wandsworth Grant Fund

Established in April 2015, the Wandsworth Grant Fund (WGF) provides all small grants (£500 - £10,000) for community and voluntary sector organisations in the borough. Read more about the Wandsworth Grant Fund.

What we support

We aim to support projects under six themes:
  1. Arts and culture
  2. Environment and attractive neighbourhoods
  3. Children and young people
  4. Citizenship and civic engagement
  5. Achieving aspirations and potential
  6. Health and well-being

Dates for applications

During 2018, applications can be made at anytime with three application deadline dates. Following each deadline, a period of assessment will take place and all eligible applications being put before the next Grants (Overview and Scrutiny) Sub-committee. Recommendations from the Sub-Committee will be ratified at the next following Executive meeting.

Application deadlines

  • Round 8: Midnight on Monday 23 April, for projects beginning after 1 July 2018
  • Round 9: Midnight on Monday 20 August, for projects beginning after 1 December 2018
  • Round 10: Midnight on Monday 17 December, for projects beginning after 1 April 2019

Advice for applicants

Council Officers are available to provide advice to applicants with a clear activity in mind after you have read the application pack. You can email any of the Specialist Officers detailed in the Guidance notes or contact the Grant Officer with general enquiries. Appointments can be made with the Grant Officer subject to other commitments.

Support events

Two types of events are offered to provide applicants with information and advice about the Fund: 'Meet the Funder' which are general open meetings, and 'Application Surgeries' which give an opportunity for a one-to-one with one of the assessing officers.

Application Surgeries

Book an application surgery for a one-to-one 30 minute session with an assessing officer. 

To book a place please email Harriet Steele. Please state your preferred date for the session and let us know the funding theme that your project falls under.
