Smallwood Road Estates parking consultation

In September / October 2017, we asked residents in Smallwood Road (North and South) Estates whether they would like the Tooting Broadway Controlled Parking Zone to be extended into the cul-de-sac where they live. This followed the receipt of a petition from some residents in 29-51 Smallwood Road, Smallwood (South) Estate, requesting the introduction of parking controls on the highway to address parking and access problems associated with non-resident parking in the cul-de-sac.

Consultation

Residents were asked specifically whether they wanted the Tooting Broadway CPZ extended into the cul-de-sac.

Results

The consultation closed on Monday 16 October 2017.

View the committee paper reporting the results of the consultation (item 16).

Implementation

The controls  came into operation on Monday 22 October 2018.

  • Double yellow lines were marked where it is not appropriate to park
  • Existing arrangements operating in the PRS bays remained unchanged, meaning that you and your visitors can continue to park for free, provided a valid Estate Permit issued by the Council's Housing and Regeneration Department is displayed
  • Between 9.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, only vehicles displaying a valid E1 CPZ permit (resident, business or visitor) or pay and display ticket (or paperless equivalent) are entitled to park in bays marked in the remaining sections of the highway
