Apply now to the Wandsworth Grant Fund
Published: Tuesday 24th October 17
The seventh round of the Wandsworth Grant Fund is now open for applications.
The grant fund will pay for more 'Tea and Tech' sessions
Community and voluntary groups are invited to bid for grants between £500 and £10,000 for local projects that will benefit the residents of the borough.
The deadline to apply for round seven funding is December 18. Applicants for round six will hear if they have been successful on January 3 2018, and round seven applicants will be notified on February 28.
Organisations based outside the borough are welcome also to apply, but need to show evidence of real engagement with local partners and the council teams in order to avoid duplication of work.

The Wandsworth Grant Fund was been brought in to streamline the process for funding projects under these council priorities:
- Arts and Culture
- Environment and Attractive Neighbourhoods
- Children and Young People
- Citizenship and Civic Engagement
- Achieving Aspirations and Potential
- Health and Well being
One team administers the grants process while evaluation and assessment is undertaken by a group of specialist council officers. Applications also receive a high level of scrutiny by councillors to ensure money is going where it is most needed and will have most benefit for the borough’s residents.
In June this year 22 local projects, including several schemes to support young people, shared £114k of round five funding. An additional £20,000 will be allocated to fund the 2018 Wandsworth Arts Fringe.
Local projects that have received funding recently include Communitch, which runs monthly ‘Tech and Tea’ sessions in Battersea Library where digital volunteers are on hand to assist anyone with tech queries. Its grant has enabled it to run far more of these sessions. Get details of upcoming events on facebook.com/CommuniTechLondon or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
