Falcon road Festival this Saturday

Published: Tuesday 27th June 17

The Falcon Road Heritage Festival is back for its second year on Saturday (July 1) and will feature a day of family entertainment to celebrate the local community and promote health and wellbeing.

The free festival is split into six zones

The Falcon Road Zone will include heritage displays and information from Providence House, Platform One and the Red Cross.

Community Safety Street stretches along Este Road from the fire station, which is holding an open day. There will be stalls from local uniformed groups and safety information.

The Community Zone, on the other part of Este Road, includes market stalls promoting health, wellbeing and the local community.

The Food Zone at the end of Este Road has a wide range of food and drink

The Activity Zone at Sacred Heart School and Shillington Park includes foodball, boxing, karate, inflatables and more.

The stage in the Performance Zone in Shillington Park will be run by Wandsworth Radio and will include falconry, a deck chair area and tee shirt printing.

The event has been supported by Battersea Fire Station, Wandsworth Radio, The Big Local SW11, the National Lottery, Enable Leisure and Culture and Wandsworth Council.

Motorists should be aware that parts of Este Road will be closed. See www.wandsworth.gov.uk/roadworks.
