There’s just over a week to go until Battersea Park hosts London’s best fireworks display and tickets are going fast!
Thousands of people are expected to attend next Saturday’s spectacular annual display.
The best fireworks show in town
The crowds can look forward to a magnificent pyrotechnic display from the internationally renowned Jubilee Fireworks and as ever the show will be set to some great music – this year hosted by Capital Radio DJ Christian Williams.
And before the first fuse is lit, the crowds will be entertained by stilt walkers and jugglers from the award-winning performance troupe FlameOz.
This year there will be more food stalls than ever and four bars will be offering mulled wine and other refreshments throughout the evening.
The council’s environment spokesman Cllr Jonathan Cook said: “The display in Battersea Park is almost universally recognised as the best in London. It is a breathtaking and spectacular fireworks show that never fails to thrill the audience.”
Entry to the November 7 display is by advanced ticket only. People must buy tickets beforehand as they will not be available on the gate.
Tickets can be purchased online from Ticketmaster (booking fees apply), and are also available to buy in person with no booking fee from the Millennium athletics track in Battersea Park. For more information call the booking line on 0844 4539937.
Tickets are available until Friday, November 6 for £8. On Saturday, November 7 they will be £10 and available online only. There is no charge for children aged under 10 but they will still require a free ticket obtained in in advance.
The gate, bar and foot court open at 6pm and the fireworks are due to start at 8pm. There will be no admittance to the park after 8pm.
In the interests of safety, visitors must not bring their own sparklers or fireworks to the display and should leave pets at home. Visitors must also not bring glass bottles into the park. Anyone found in possession of these items may be refused entry or removed from the park.
This year’s display is sponsored by Berkeley Homes and Greenland's The Ram Quarter.
