Comment on temporary buildings
Published: Friday 16th March 12
Members of the public are invited to comment on plans to erect temporary classrooms at Elliott School in Putney.
Proposals are being jointly worked up by the school governors, Wandsworth Council and education charity ARK schools to remodel Elliott, which will become ARK Putney Academy from September.
The temporary buildings are to house the school while the essential main school refurbishment works are carried out. When the work is completed, pupils will move back into the refurbished and remodelled Grade II listed building and the temporary classrooms will be removed. The proposed renovation work is being carried out in consultation with English Heritage.
A public exhibition of the plans for the temporary accommodation is being held at Elliott School, Pullman Gardens, on March 20 between 3.30pm and 7.30pm.
Display boards will be on view in the main reception and there will be the opportunity to discuss the plans and leave comments.
