Walking for Health

DescriptionWalking for Health (WfH) is a scheme that offers free walks aimed at people who don't take much exercise, to encourage more people to become physically active in their local natural spaces. It is run by Britain's leading walking charity, the Ramblers, together with Macmillan Cancer Support.

Walking for Health supports a network of local health walks, including some that are run by local councils or the NHS. There are many in and around Wandsworth that offer regular short walks over easy terrain with trained walk leaders. Health walks help people to get out and enjoy the benefits of exercise, including improved physical and mental health. You can find a local walk by visiting the website, or getting in touch with Walking for Health.
