|Description||Carers Trust is a national charity with a network of partners (local carers centres and crossroads care schemes) that supports unpaid carers. It was formed by the merger of The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads Care in April 2012, and it aims to ensure that information, advice and practical support is available to all carers across the UK. Their main services are: |
- Carers' Centres: independent charities that deliver local support services for carers
- Crossroads Care schemes: independent charities that support carers and the people they care for, often by providing flexible breaks.
- Online communities where carers can find support, information, friendship and connect with others
The charity's website has information on many topics relevant to carers, such as taking care of yourself, transport and mobility, money and benefits, and respite care. You can find a local service using their website, or meet other carers through their 'carers chat' discussion forums and live chat services. Carers Trust also has a website for young carers (see link below).
