Adult social care - directory record page
|Description||Carers Together is an online mentoring and volunteering project for unpaid carers – it offers carers support from others that have first-hand experience of caring. |
The project matches volunteer mentors with carers to help reduce their social isolation, improve their emotional well-being, and to help them cope with the stresses and strains of caring. Carers and their mentors connect online using a dedicated and secure web-based messaging service. It is open to all unpaid carers in England to receive support or volunteer to be a mentor.
The project has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund and is being provided by the charities Carers UK and Timebank working together.
