DescriptionThe National Autistic Society (NAS) champions the rights and interests of all people with autism and aims to provide individuals with autism and their families with help, support and services that they can access, trust and rely upon and which can make a positive difference to their lives. The NAS website provides information about autism and Asperger syndrome, the NAS and its services and activities, including residential care homes and support services.

The NAS provide various specific services which may be useful for or of interest to those with autism and their families, including the following services:

- Autism Helpline

The helpline provides confidential information and advice for people with an autism spectrum disorder and their families. The helpline is open 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday.

- Education Rights Service

The NAS Education Rights Service (formally the Advocacy for Education Service) provides accurate information, support and advice on educational provision and entitlements to help guide parents and families.

- Community Care Service

The NAS Community Care Service offers advice and information about community care issues, including finding out what help you can get from your local social services department and how to access the help.

- Parent to Parent
Telephone: 0808 800 4106

Parent to Parent is a confidential telephone listening service provided by parent volunteers of children with autism.
