Be Enriched - The Graveney Canteen
|Address||United Reformed Church, |
|Description||The Graveney Canteen operates weekly on a Friday lunchtime, serving a hot and healthy meal for people at risk of food poverty and living in social isolation. It is open to all to come and eat and have a chat, and charges £1 for a meal. |
The project uses surplus food from Sainsbury's in Tooting and other local food providers to create a delicious, ever-changing range of dishes. The meal is planned and cooked by volunteers who have the opportunity to sit down and to eat and chat with the guests. Food is served from 1pm until 2.30pm.
Anyone is welcome to volunteer - to sign up visit the website. Volunteers are needed every Friday from 10:30am-4pm to prepare, cook, and serve the food.
