S.U.N. (Service User Network)

Address229 Garratt Lane
PostcodeSW18 4DU
DescriptionThe Service User Network is a group peer support service which helps people cope with personality disorder and emotional and behavioural difficulties. It is also known as S.U.N. The service is open to adults with or without a formal diagnosis and whether or not they are currently accessing existing services. There are many groups within the network, which meet at various community venues (see the website link for locations), such as:

- Crisis and support plan groups
- Emotional support groups
- Practical groups (e.g. looking at help with benefits, training courses and job applications)
- Social activities groups
- Art and educational groups

It aims to help service users feel more supported, less excluded and more empowered. This is achieved through learning new coping strategies, which can help people have fewer crises, and be able to access other services more easily when needed. S.U.N works alongside mainstream services. There is no emergency provision available, but the groups link in with emergency services when necessary.
