Adult social care from Wandsworth Council
|Address||Customer Centre, |
Wandsworth High Street,
|Description||We help adults with care and support needs and those who care for them. This could be because of frailty, a disability, a long term health condition, a short or long term illness, caring responsibilities, or your health and wellbeing is at risk for any other reason. |
We offer information and advice to everyone. If you want more help from us we will ask you about your care and support needs, or your support needs if you’re a carer, to work out if you qualify. Adult social care is part of the council’s Department of Education and Social Services and it aims to support people to live as safely and independently as possible.
You can get in touch by telephone, Minicom, email or in person if required. The reception for adult social care is in the council's Customer Centre on Wandsworth High Street. Most people should contact the Access Team initially, but see below for further details on which team to contact:
- For people with mental ill health: contact your Community Mental Health Team (via your GP, if you don’t already have help from a team).
- For everybody else, including older people, people with physical disabilities, people with sensory disabilities and learning disabilities, and people who misuse substances: contact the Access Team on 020 8871 7707.
