|Description||DeafHope is a service from the charity SignHealth that supports deaf women and their children to stay free from fear and harm. The service provides practical and emotional support to deaf women who are experiencing, or are survivors of, domestic abuse. The team helps women to make choices and stay safe. |
The service also runs a unique project called Young DeafHope that works with young Deaf people to raise awareness of abuse and domestic violence. Through this project the charity aims to give young people the knowledge, skills and confidence to develop healthy relationships.
For information and advice, or to make a referral for either service, get in contact with the project by email, text message, phone or textphone. All enquiries are confidential and clients will be asked how DeafHope can contact them. Arrangements can be made to meet clients somewhere safe if necessary.
