DescriptionSound Minds is a user-led charity and social enterprise, which aims to transform the lives of people experiencing mental ill health through participation in music and the arts. Sound Minds has a thriving community that is bound together by creativity and a shared belief in mutual support.

The studio in Battersea has a music rehearsal space, recording and video editing facilities as well as a visual art studio, a lounge and a kitchen. The charity offers a range of accredited courses and other opportunities, such as:

- Music production courses
- Filmmaking course
- One to one lessons in drums, keyboards, bass and guitar
- A booking agency for music artistes and workshop leaders, which helps unemployed people experiencing mental ill health to gain employment

Mama Low's Kitchen, a mental health drop-in service, is arranged by Sound Minds but takes place nearby at Katherine Low Settlement on Fridays from 11am to 3.30pm.

Sound Minds is home to a number of bands including Bluesology, the legendary reggae band Channel One and the Sound Minds Jazz Collective. Sound Minds is also the base for the service user group Canerows and Plaits who provide a mental health ward visiting service and peer support and consultation.
