DescriptionRandall Close resource centre is a day centre and a place where people can meet others and take part in activities. It provides services for all client groups, particularly those with disabilities, as well as older people.

Randall Close is in Battersea, not far from Battersea Park, near to shops and other amenities. The centre, run by Leonard Cheshire Disability, is in a single-storey building which is fully accessible and equipped for specialist support. There are many activity rooms and a range of facilities, and those who visit can take part in activities such as:

- Art and music
- Reading
- Cookery
- Discussion groups
- Social events
- IT
- Outings and shopping

The centre's clients are a mix of men and women of all ages. Lunch is available, including options for vegetarians and those with other dietary requirements. A hairdresser is available and support to appointments can be arranged, such as to the opticians or chiropodist/podiatrist. The centre also offers student placements (for student doctors and social workers, etc.) and volunteer opportunities.

The centre aims to provide a holistic service, working together with others such as the local falls clinic, and health and social care services. They provide an 'enablement programme' to help people meet their goals, and celebrate diversity through culture and faith groups.

EligibilityThis service is for Wandsworth residents. Referral should be through social services, following a community care assessment and financial assessment.
CostsCharges for the day centre vary and will be dependent on a social services financial assessment. Some services may have additional costs. Meals and refreshments are £4.80 per day (£4.15 for meals and 65p for refreshments) - costs are reviewed yearly.
