DescriptionThe Hestia Age Activity Centre in Tooting aims to help people aged 60 and over to stay active, healthy and independent. It provides a friendly environment where older people can develop friendships and take part in activities that help them to maximise their talents and remain happy and independent.
Lunch is available daily and refreshments are available throughout the day.

The centre is run together with those who use it and activities and outings are tailored to their needs and interests. Many activities are on offer every week, including:

- a bridge club
- scrabble and bingo sessions
- art and computer classes
- Friday afternoon matinee
- keep fit including Zumba and Tai Chi classes
- a dominoes club, which competes in local tournaments
- a choir group run by service users

Outings are offered, for example to museums, theatres, and trips to the coast. The centre also offers occasional talks, benefits advice, help with completing forms, and other support. On Thursdays, the Centre offers an outreach service, providing help and support with service users who are ill at home by either visiting or telephoning. There are also two drop-in services Hestia provides in the Southfields area of the borough on Tuesday mornings and Friday afternoons.
