Being active – a guide for disabled people

DescriptionThis guide, from established disability rights and sports charities, aims to help disabled people enjoy an active lifestyle. It provides information and guidance on where and how to get started, and more, including:

- The benefits of being more active
- How to get more active
- Removing the barriers to activity
- Types of activity for people with different needs
- Suggestions for different groups, including older people

The guide was produced by people with lived experience of disability or health conditions, for people in similar situations. It has been developed by the charities Disability Rights UK and English Federation of Disability Sport, with the support of Sport England.
