DescriptionCommon Sense is an exercise and fitness group for older people, with ages of participants ranging from the 50s into the 80s. The group meets every week on Monday and Wednesday mornings at Clapham Common Bandstand from 10.30am. The class lasts around one hour.

Exercise can bring many benefits and the meetings focus on exercises relevant to those in the group, as everyone’s body changes with age. It can help improve coordination and balance. Strengthening bones through exercise reduces the risk of osteoporosis and lower back pain, while working on range of movement improves flexibility, posture and mood, and helps with arthritis.

Participants have different lifestyles and fitness goals as well as ages, so everyone works towards their own goals and is encouraged to work at their own level of fitness.
