Dementia Guide - Alzheimer's Society

DescriptionA guide for anyone who has recently been told they have any type of dementia, such as Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and mixed dementia. It also aims to help the friends and family of anyone with dementia and it includes information useful to those taking on a caring role.

The guide will help you to understand more about dementia and the treatments, support and services that are available. It can be viewed online, downloaded from the website or you can request a copy from Alzheimer’s Society. There is also a useful checklist that helps you to identify useful things that you can do to help you live well now and plan for the future. It also includes information about:

- Living well
- Planning ahead
- Services for people with dementia
- Support for carers
- Other useful organisations
