DescriptionDeaf Adult Services is part of National Deaf Services, which provides a range of comprehensive mental health services for deaf adults, children and their families. Deaf Adult Services offers inpatient and community support and covers Wandsworth, the rest of London and the southern third of England.

The service supports adults with severe to profound hearing loss. It provides assessment and management of psychiatric, behavioural, psychological, communication and social problems. Deaf Adult Services also has special expertise in learning disabilities and autism, and offers a variety of treatment options as well as support to each service user in making appropriate choices. The service also helps deaf people with visual impairment. The team of staff includes:

- adult psychiatrists
- learning disability psychiatrist
- mental health and learning disability nurses
- occupational therapists
- speech and language therapist
- social workers
- psychoanalytic psychotherapists
- clinical and counselling psychologists
- community mental health nurses
- outreach workers (clinical case managers)
- deaf community support workers
