DescriptionBrysson Whyte Rehabilitation Unit provides assessment, treatment and advice to older people and those with long term conditions in a supportive environment. The unit is based at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton. People living in their own homes can visit the unit for their rehabilitation or the service can visit people in their own homes if required.

The unit aims to help people to stay as active and independent as possible. It has a large therapy gym and a number of smaller rooms for individual treatments or if more privacy is required. Services provided by the team include:

- Physiotherapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Nursing care
- Dietician
- Speech and language therapy
- Psychology
- Medical care
- Ready access to hospital based investigations
- Health promotion and education

There are also group programs available at the unit, including falls prevention, pulmonary rehabilitation, cognitive stimulation, a Parkinson’s disease group and an arthritis hand group.

EligibilityThe service is for older people and those with long term conditions who need rehabilitation, living in the boroughs of Wandsworth or Richmond.

Self-referrals are accepted, or referrals can be made by any health or social care professional.
