To arrange an appointment with a dentist you can simply contact a practice that is convenient for you and ask for an appointment. There is no need to register with a dentist, although in some areas there may be waiting lists for NHS treatment. The British Dental Health Foundation provides a dental health helpline, 0845 063 1188, with dental advisors who can answer questions about oral health. The foundation is an independent charity dedicated to improving oral health.
