DescriptionWandsworth Deaf Drop-in Service is for people in the Deaf community who live in the borough of Wandsworth. This is provided by the Sensory Service as part of the Access Team, within the Department of Education and Social Services. The Deaf Access Officer runs a weekly drop-in service for Deaf and hard of hearing people every Tuesday, from 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm.

The service offers information, advice, advocacy and guidance. It provides access to communication such as help with letter and document translation from English to British Sign Language, making phone calls on their behalf, signposting, and advice on welfare benefits, housing or other council related issues.

The Deaf drop-in service can provide:
- Assistance communicating with and accessing other services
- Translation of documents and information
- Advocacy support
- Signposting to other agencies

Anyone can refer Deaf and hard of hearing people to the service who live in Wandsworth borough.
