|Description||This organisation offers nationwide self-help groups for anyone wanting to stop using drugs. The website includes details of meetings in the local area, with over 250 a week in London. Narcotics anonymous is based on the 12 step programme developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. |
The helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is staffed by recovering addicts. Narcotics Anonymous and the helpline can provide information, support and advice for everyone, including those with drug addictions, their friends and family members, drug workers and the press.
Usually people make contact by telephone, but you may also turn up at a meeting or be referred by a professional.

Some NA meetings in London are held for men only, women only, parents groups, young people, gay, lesbian, and transgender. Many meetings have a specific newcomers welcome. Some daytime meetings have creche facilities.
