DescriptionThe Macular Society is a specialist charity for people affected by central vision loss and macular conditions. They provide support through a helpline, local low vision services, and through a network of more than 240 local groups. The main services available are:

- A helpline, providing information on macular disease
- Counselling
- Life coaching
- Peer support, such as an online 'Skype' group
- Advocacy
- Regular conferences throughout the year

They also produce a quarterly magazine called Side View for members of the society and an annual scientific journal, Digest. These publications are available in a variety of formats.
