DescriptionWomen and Girls Network (WGN) is a pan-London women-only, feminist organisation that supports women and girls affected by all forms of gendered violence. This includes domestic violence, sexual violence and rape, gang-related abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, honour based violence, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation) and war crimes.

WGN’s Freephone Advice Line provides immediate, free and confidential information, advice and support to women and girls affected by gender-based violence. It is also open for professionals to access advice and support on cases relating to gender based violence.

Specialist information is provided on a wide range of issues including:
- Personal safety
- Housing and homelessness
- Finances and welfare benefits (including clients with no recourse to public funds)
- Legal options and processes (e.g. obtaining a protection order)
- Child related concerns
- Emotional wellbeing

Further informationSome services, including the advice services, are provided as part of the Ascent project. Ascent is a project of the London Violence Against Women & Girls Consortium that aims to improve services for those affected by sexual and domestic violence. It is funded by London Councils and involves 22 specialist organisations working together to deliver innovative and seamless services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence across London.
