Benefits and other support
Benefits and other support
There are many different types of benefit. If you have a disability or a long-term health condition, or if you're a carer, there are specific benefits that you might be able to get to help. There have been some big changes to benefits recently, and some that are still happening, such as the introduction of Universal Credit.
Find out more online on the GOV.UK website or by visiting an advice website like Adviceguide from the Citizens Advice Bureau. If you need some help, the Disability and Social Care Advice Service (DASCAS) is a good place to start. There are other types of support you might be able to get if you need it, like budgeting loans or community care grants.
