But if you're helping to look after someone unpaid, because they are frail, ill, have a disability or another problem then you're a carer.

There are different ways you can be supported to help you cope with caring. You might need to take a break and take some time out to look after yourself. You may be able to get some benefits if you are a carer. There are support groups as well, and different ways to meet other carers, in person or online. If you're not sure where to start or what help is available, you could get in touch with Wandsworth Carer's Centre or adult social services.
