Wheelchairs and walking supports

Wheelchairs and walking support

Do you find it difficult to walk? Are you looking for extra support? If you do, you can talk to your GP who can give you some advice and point you in the right direction. If you might need a walking aid or support, the Primary Care Therapy Team can usually help. You can get in touch with them yourself. If you think you need a wheelchair, your GP will normally need to refer you to the wheelchair service at Queen Mary's Hospital.

You can also buy walking supports, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters from lots of different places, if you know what you need. Mobility aids can even be hired, giving you a chance to try it out to see if it works for you, or to just hire one when you need it.
