Mental health and wellbeing

Mental wellbeing and good mental health is when you feel generally good and are able to cope with your daily life. If things start to go wrong or you're finding it hard to cope, your GP should be the first place to seek help. They may refer you to another service, such as a community mental health team, or to a support service. If you don't have a GP or don't feel able to talk to them, there are others places you can find help. Support is available for all sorts of mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, and dementia and for carers of people with these issues.

The local NHS and NHS Choices offer information and guidance about mental health, and many charities also offer help, advice and support groups. Wandsworth Mind offers advice, information and services, and you will also find charities here that run helplines, such as Mind, Samaritans and Rethink.
