Where to leave your waste sacks
Do not leave waste sack on the pavement. Doing so, or leaving waste by lamp-posts, litter bins or trees could result in a fine of up to £2,500.
If you have a front garden please leave sacks of waste as near to the entrance as possible without putting them on the pavement.
If you don't have a front garden put sacks on the pavement by your front door before 6.30am on your collection day, but not before 6.30pm the day before.
Large communal/shared bin waste collection days
To check what day(s) large communal bins should be emptied, email wasteservices@wandsworth.gov.uk.
Recycling sack deliveries
If we collect your waste in ordinary dustbins or rubbish sacks.
Three rolls of 30 recycling sacks should be delivered to you once a year.
Christmas and New Years Day
Our waste collection and street cleaning services do not operate on Christmas Day or New Years Day. Following these Bank Holidays, services will occur one day later for the rest of the week.
Street cleaning
Your street should be cleaned on the same day we collect dustbins and recycling sacks. The street should be cleaned within hours of the rubbish being collected to make sure any mess left behind is cleared promptly.
All streets should also get at least one extra litter pick each week.
All main roads in the borough should be cleaned at least once a day and town centres are scheduled to be cleaned between five and twelve times daily.
Bad weather
If bad weather conditions disrupt our services, we will provide more information on this page.
