Councillor Jonathan Cook, Cabinet Member for Community Services
Following two years of increases, believed to be a result of improved police recording of crime, Wandsworth was one of only five London boroughs to deliver a reduction in Violence with Injury offences between December 2015 and November 2016. The total reduction of 6.5 per cent (equivalent to 148 fewer crimes) was the highest numerical and proportional reduction across the entire Metropolitan Police Service.
