Councillor Paul  Ellis, Cabinet Member for Adult Care Services and Health
An additional extra care housing scheme was opened during 2015/16 which provided more accommodation space for older people as an alternative to a care home place. The council continues to explore community alternatives to residential care placements where suitable. Whether through increased support at home or alternative housing opportunities such as extra care housing.
