Rowditch Lane area parking consultation
Consultation on the possible introduction of a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Rowditch Lane.
Background
We asked residents in the following roads for their views on the parking conditions where they live and whether they would support the introduction of a CPZ. This followed the receipt of a petition from some residents of Rowditch Lane, Blondel Street, Dagnall Street and adjacent roads requesting a CPZ in order to improve the parking conditions in the area.
Rowditch Lane, Sheepcote Lane (uncontrolled section), Culvert Road, Blondel Street, Longhedge Street, Henley Street, Astle Street, Dagnall Street, Anerley Street, Orkney Street, Millgrove Street, Kennard Street, Austin Road, Harpsden Street, Chesney Street, Parkside Street, Battersea Park Road (between Culvert Road and Austin Road) SW11.
Consultation
Residents were asked specifically whether they wanted a CPZ implemented in the area and what hours and days it should operate.

The consultation closed on Thursday 23 October 2017.

Scheme design
Implementation
The new parking controls came into operation on Monday 21 January 2019.
- Parking bays were marked where it is appropriate to park and yellow lines where it is not.
- Between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday only vehicles displaying a valid B7 CPZ permit (resident, business or visitor) are entitled to park in bays marked on the highway.
- Any existing parking controls operating in housing estate bays (part of a Parking Regulation Scheme) remain unchanged meaning that only vehicles displaying a valid housing permit are permitted to park in those bays.
How to apply for a CPZ parking permit
Applications for resident or business parking permits and paperless visitor permits should be made online. Visit the website to register and apply.
You will need to scan and upload your proof of residence/business address and vehicle ownership before your permit can be issued; enter Monday 21 January 2019 as the permit start date.

Please note that each household may purchase a maximum of 100 resident visitor parking permits per year. Residents aged 70 and over and disabled residents may apply for 200 visitors’ permits per year. These should be applied for via the same on-line account.
