Road safety education and training
We're committed to reducing road traffic accident casualties through a number of ways, including education and training.
We offer road safety talks and shows for schools in Wandsworth, as well as pedestrian and cycle training.

Cycle training schemes
Free cycle training courses for children and adults studying, living or working in Wandsworth.
Pedestrian training for schools children years 2 to 6, with the focus being on years 2 and 3. Sessions are carried out off-site, in small groups, by a member of a staff who take part. Each session takes around 40 minutes.
Road safety talks
We conduct road safety talks aimed at Nursery and Reception children. Each session takes 25 to 30 minutes and is carried out in the classroom as a carpet session. The sessions include songs, stories and pictures. The session covers holding hands, stop, look and listen and wearing a seat belt. Sessions can be adapted in order to accommodate older children.
Road safety shows
The council has commissioned customised road safety shows for Primary and Secondary schools in Wandsworth, as well as a show aim at the elderly.
The shows cover a variety of road safety topics from crossing the road safely to being visible at night. Schools or social clubs wishing to book a road safety show should contact the us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 8871 6677.
