Open Council

Wandsworth is committed to being an Open Council, making it easy for residents to find out how we spend your money and how good we are at delivering services.

How are we doing?

Using the links you will find charts of publicly available data on how we compare with other London boroughs on 27 issues we believe matter to you the most.

You will also find comments from our Cabinet Members with their response to the level of performance that is reached.

Each chart also shows where the information comes from and a performance grade A-D based on where we rank, with an A-grade being amongst the highest performing in London.

You can let us know what you think by submitting comments on each chart.

Information on the full list of over 90 indicators that we report is also available from the drop down box below.

You can also download the full analysis with the raw data used to compile these charts in Excel format.

Please also see our FAQs about this analysis.

How do we spend your money?

Alongside the council's budget, we publish the details of everything we spend over £500 month by month.

We publish the full salaries of all our senior officers, a detailed staff structure chart, and the allowances paid to elected members (councillors).

We publish our contracts register which shows all contracts held between the Council and vendors with a value of £25,000 or more.

See our Open Data section for more information.

What do our residents say?

The council regularly seeks views of its residents on how satisfied they are about the services we deliver. The latest residents' survey conducted in 2011 showed that 87% of people are satisfied with the council, up from 80% in 2009. The next survey is due to be conducted later in 2013.
